Adult Classes Winter 2012
Beginning January 8th
Portraits of Christ in the Old Testament
Teacher: Max Soft Location: Gym When you consider Jacob’s ladder, Moses, the Temple, The Kinsman redeemer, manna in the wilderness or Melchizedek, do you recognize the common thread? The Old Testament is filled with pictures and types of Christ. As God directed and recorded his history He was illustrating and explaining what Christ would be like, and what his mission would be. The Messiah, foretold and pictured in the Old Testament, was born and lived in the New Testament. | Romans: Living Out the Power of God
Teacher: Jerry Wall Location: Room 131 The book of Romans unpacks how the good news of the gospel helps us to change and grow as a Christian. Each week we'll look at how the Apostle Paul applies Christ-centered answers to our everyday life. Our goal will be to make Christ and his gospel central to all of our life. |
Discipleship Counseling and You
Teacher: Rod Griffin Location: Fireside Chapel This class is a Biblical overview about overcoming. We will deal with issues such as ways to overcome depression, feelings of insecurity and inadequacy, worries, doubts, and fears. Why do I do the things I don’t want to do? If I am saved, why does my troublesome past seem to imprison me? If these issues sound familiar or if you want to understand how you can help others be overcomers, come and see what God has for you. | The Treasure Principle
Facilitator: Park Richard Location: Room 125 Jesus devoted a major portion of teaching to the use of money and things, the most notable is Matthew 6:19-21, concludes, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”. The treasure Principle workshop teaches the joy of giving. Some Bible studies use guilt as a motivation for giving; this one doesn’t. In a dramatic teaching style, this video workshop literally inspires those who want to learn the principles of giving in a way that causes lasting change. |
